Kim Owen of The Starlight Company has just had a fantastic week after the curtain fell yesterday for the last time on the Hereford Sixth Form College and Upstage Production Company production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Kim directed the show along with Matt Walters as well as choreographing it. Alongside Pete Fletcher as Musical Director and Colin Thompson with Lighting and Set they were a formidable team. The show played to sell out audiences and claimed rave reviews – many saying it was better than professional productions!

The cast, led by this enthusiastic production team sang their hearts out, oozed energy in their dance and movement which sent the audience on a journey of emotions from goosebumps, to tears, to standing on their feet clapping with elation!

Kim who teaches in the Performing Arts Department at Hereford Sixth Form college comments on the “It really was a fantastic show with pure raw talent borne right here in Herefordshire – our Joseph, played by Ed Deacon, threw himself fully at the part – I’m sure he’ll be one to watch for the future! The whole cast were thrilled with the audience reaction, and rightly deserved for their months of hard work and preparation!”
