The Starlight Company is once again hosting the Hereford Tapathon 2012 – a Guinness  world record breaking tap attempt raising money for Children in Need.
And at their rehearsal on Sunday 11th November there was even a visit from the BBC Children in Need Mascot himself Pudsey the Bear!

This taptastic event happens nation wide with approximately 10,000 dancers across the country from age 6-86 all performing the same routine on the same day & at the same time for approximately 8 minutes. There were 104 people aged 6 – 66 who tapped with Pudsey on Sunday raising lots of money for Children in Need!

“It was a fantastic afternoon’s rehearsal” comments Becks White of The Starlight Company “watching the younger tappers and actually a lot of the older tappers when Pudsey entered the doors at thePoint4 was magical! And he can tap dance too! It meant

such a lot to have him there with us and brought it home why we were all participating.”

Pudsey spent an hour with the Hereford Starlight tapathon team, taking photos, shaking hands and giving big warm cuddles as well as showing off his own moves to the Olly Murs hit “Dance with me tonight!” The BBC Midlands Today camera’s were also there so look out for clips of the team on air on Children in Need night this Friday 16th November on BBC1.

To show your support come along on Sunday 18th November 10am-1pm at the fantastic thePoint4 along Venns Lane in Hereford. Their wonderful sports hall can cater for over 300 participants with large amounts of seating for audience members & a great cafe!
