STARLIGHT LETS DANCE FOR COMIC RELIEF ROADSHOW ENDS UP AT BBC TELEVISION CENTRE!

Starlight's Becks and Vicky get interviewed by Russell Brand live on Comic Relief

The Starlight Company, Hereford set out on a “Let’s Dance for Comic Relief Roadshow” spreading charitable cheer by getting people of all ages dancing across the county & their efforts led them to BBC Televisions Studios in London where they watched the entire Comic Relief programme and were interviewed by Russell Brand.

Becks White, Partner & Instructor of The Starlight Company comments “It was a fantastic week, we taught a fun Bollywood dance to “Jai Ho” (from Slumdog Millionaire) to 650 people made up from 9 schools, allpay Limited plus our own Zumba classes. The pupils and staff at all the schools we visited really got involved –definitely doings something “funny for money”.  Thanks to their generous fundraising, plus 10% of our takings from all our Zumba classes that week, it resulted in well over £500 winging its way to Comic Relief.”

Vicky Lightowler, Partner & Instructor of The Starlight Company added “The week was topped off with an invite from the BBC to Television Studios in London. As it was the 25th Anniversary of Comic Relief they wanted fundraisers in the audience to show the efforts that are made to raise money. We got to see the whole show and were interviewed by Russell Brand live on air, it was an amazing, surreal & emotional evening!”
